Fossil Park will be CLOSED July 4th & 5th for the Sylvania Community Fireworks Display

Olander Park is the 60-acre recreational oasis of Sylvania & Sylvania Township. Its spring fed 28-acre lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, & swimming. TOPS 1.1 Mile paved loop around Lake Olander is ideal for walking, jogging, rollerblading, & bicycling. Sorry, no pets are allowed in Olander Park.
Additional features include four playgrounds, two sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, restroom facilities, concession machines, boat rentals, & a bait shop.
TOPS also maintains many other Sylvania area parks & trails including Whetstone Park, the Oak Savanna, Sylvan Prairie Park, the Quarry Ridge Bike Trail, & Fossil Park.
ADMISSION Residents of the Olander Park System: FREE Non-Residents: $3 per car, Monday - Friday $5 per car, Saturday & Sunday $7 per car, major Holiday weekends
FISHING Lake Olander follows State of Ohio regulations enforced by ODNR patrols. An Ohio fishing license is required for ages 16 to 65. The Bait Shop, open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through the Labor Day weekend, has a limited selection of bait and related fishing supplies for your convenience.
SWIMMING Swim admission is $2 per person for residents of the Sylvania School District and $4 per person for non-residents, children 2 and under are free.
Swim is currently open daily Noon to 7pm.
BOATING The Boat & Bait shop is currently open 9am - 8pm daily.
Paddleboats: $3 per half-hour, seats up to 3 people, $5 deposit Rowboats: $3 per hour, seats up to 4 people, $5 deposit Fisherman's Special: Monday thru Friday, $6 per day, holidays excluded.
You MUST be 16 years of age or older to rent a boat & 12 years of age or older to ride in one without an adult guardian.
Fishing Poles and Licenses are NOT available at the TOPS Boat & Bait Shop.
